SCOUT’S TEAM: TYPE-NEUTRAL CONVERSATION INTAKE

The reply reader: finds out what a publisher offers before anyone talks terms

AI reply classification for outreach sorts each reply by what the publisher is really offering. When a reply to Scout, our backlink bot, doesn’t make that clear, the dispatcher sends it to the reply reader. It works out whether the site offers a guest post, a backlink in an existing article or both, without favoring either, then hands the deal to the right negotiator.

Favorite question: “So, what do you offer?”

SPECIAL MOVE: MIND READER (THE POLITE KIND)

Try Mind Reader: you’re the reply reader

Some replies don’t say what the publisher offers. Read each one and decide: is the deal clear now, or do you ask first? The reply reader never steers a publisher toward one format.

Sure, we’d love to collaborate! What works for you?

The reply reader says: Hmm. What are they really offering?

What do you do?

See the answers
  1. Sure, we’d love to collaborate! What works for you? What do you do? Ask what they offer. Ask first, favor neither. Their answer decides the deal type.
  2. We publish contributed articles every Tuesday. Our guidelines are attached. Is the deal clear now? Yes: a guest post. A new article, written to their guidelines. Off to the guest post negotiator!
  3. We could add a mention of you to our existing guide on patient intake. Is the deal clear now? Yes: a link insertion. An existing article: that’s a link insertion. Off to its negotiator!

WHERE IT SITS IN THE TEAM

Who hands it work, and who it hands work to

The reply reader works between the dispatcher and the negotiators, and passes each reply on once the deal type is clear.

WHERE A PERSON DECIDES

A message it can’t read with confidence goes to a LabsMedia backlink specialist, not to a guess. That is one of the 20+ situations where Scout stops and hands a conversation to a person, and a person signs off every deal commitment.

WHAT IT NEVER DOES

What the reply reader never does

It follows the shared rulebook every Scout negotiator works to, from the very first reply.

  • Never steers a publisher to one format

It asks what the site offers and lets the answer decide, whether that’s a guest post, a backlink in an existing article or both.

  • Never reveals your budget

If price comes up early, the publisher names their number first. Your budget stays private.

  • Never asks the same question twice

Every answer goes into Deal Memory, and the negotiator picks up from there.

  • Never guesses at an unclear reply

If it can’t read a message with confidence, a backlink specialist reads it instead.

FAQ

The reply reader: common questions

What is AI reply classification for outreach?

It’s reading each reply to an outreach email and sorting it by what the sender means: what they offer, and on what terms. At LabsMedia the reply reader does this whenever a publisher’s reply doesn’t make the deal type clear, so the conversation reaches the negotiator built for that kind of deal instead of one that guessed.

Why not assume every publisher sells guest posts?

Because many sites sell more than one thing, and some sell only one. A site might take a guest post, add your backlink to an article it already has, or offer both at different prices. Asking first means your backlink lands in the format that fits that site and your page, not the format someone assumed.

Does the reply reader negotiate the price?

Its job is to find out what the publisher offers. If price comes up early, it follows the same rulebook as every negotiator: the publisher names a price first and your budget is never revealed. Once the deal type is clear, the negotiator for that format takes over, with Deal Memory holding everything said so far.

What if a publisher offers both a guest post and a link insertion?

Both offers are recorded, and neither is pushed. The conversation goes on to the negotiator for the format that fits the deal, and Deal Memory keeps what the publisher said about each option, so nobody has to ask again. The choice rests on the site and your page.
