Link building reports counted from live data, not written up by hand
A link building report you can trust counts only real results: a deal closed when the invoice arrives or the backlink is live, and a backlink confirmed on the live page. LabsMedia sends a daily report for every site, plus an email for each closed deal and each live backlink, all counted from live data. Every step behind those numbers is logged.
No login and no dashboard. Everything arrives by email.
“Agreed” isn’t “closed”. I’m fussy like that.
Link building reports with every step in plain view
Running an SEO agency, we wanted link-building to report itself as clearly as the rest of the business. So we built reports that do.
- Numbers you can check, every day, for every site.
- Deals counted as closed only when something real has happened.
- The work behind each number, in plain view.
- Progress that keeps moving around the clock.
An agreed price isn’t a closed deal
A deal counts as closed only when the publisher’s invoice has arrived or the backlink is live. Nothing else moves the number.
We tried looser definitions on real data and chose the strictest one, because it keeps every number in your report real.
- A deal counts only with a publisher’s invoice or a live backlink. An agreed price is a promise, not a result. It stays “in negotiation” until something real happens.
- “Live” means found on the publisher’s own site.A “live” report that points at a social profile or a support ticket doesn’t count, whatever the email says.
- Checked against what was agreed.Your page, your anchor and the agreed terms, on the live page, before the backlink goes on your invoice.
- A person’s correction is never overwritten. If a specialist fixes a record by hand, the system keeps their fix. The register never quietly deletes a deal.
We check each backlink on the live page once, before it goes on your invoice. We don’t monitor it after that. See how to check if a backlink is live for what that check covers.
Four things a publisher might send. Stamp each one CLOSED or NOT YET, the way your daily report would count it.
- Price agreedThe publisher of healthblog.example says yes to the price.
The answer
NOT YET. An agreed price is a promise, not a result. It stays “in negotiation” until the invoice arrives or the backlink is live.
- Invoice arrivedThe publisher of clinicnotes.example sends their invoice.
The answer
CLOSED. The publisher’s invoice has arrived, so the deal counts as closed.
- Backlink live on their pageYour backlink is found on an article on medtechdaily.example.
The answer
CLOSED. Found live on the publisher’s own site, so the deal counts as closed. It’s checked against what was agreed before it goes on your invoice.
- “It’s live!” with a social-profile URLThe email says it’s done and links to a social profile.
The answer
NOT YET. “Live” means found on the publisher’s own site. A social profile isn’t a placement, whatever the email says.
Illustrative example, not real output or real sites.
What a link building report should show you
Whoever builds your backlinks, ask for these four things. They separate a report you can check from one you have to believe.
Each number in a LabsMedia report comes out of The LabsMedia Method: the AI link building safeguards that hand hard calls to a person, and one monthly quote on the link building pricing page, invoiced only for backlinks that are live.
Activity you can count
Emails sent, sites contacted and replies received. It shows the work is happening, not that it is working.
Deals by stage
How many sites shared a price, how many are in negotiation and how many are closed, kept apart so “agreed” is never counted as “done”.
Backlinks confirmed on the live page
Only backlinks someone has found on the publisher’s page, pointing at your page with the agreed anchor. A publisher’s “it’s live” is not enough.
Where each number comes from
Counted from live data, so the daily report and the answer to any question always agree.
Four kinds of email, all counted, none written up by hand
The daily report and the answer to your questions come from the same count, so they can never disagree.
- DAILY
A report for every site
Emails sent, sites contacted, replies, prices shared, deals in negotiation, deals closed and backlinks live, counted from live data.
- WHEN IT HAPPENS
A deal closed
An email once a deal is closed: the publisher’s invoice has arrived or the backlink is live. An agreed price alone doesn’t trigger it.
- WHEN IT HAPPENS
A backlink found live
An email once the backlink has been found on the publisher’s page, not when the publisher says it’s done.
- ANY TIME
Answers on request
Reply “how’s it going?” and get the same numbers back. The wording may change; the numbers never do.
Proof of work behind every number
Every run, every email and every AI decision is recorded. It’s what our specialists work from, and why they can answer your questions with numbers instead of reassurance.
- Sites found
- New to you
- Right market
- Right niche
- Contact found
- Emails drafted
Every stage keeps its count in, its count out and what it set aside, so one month can be read next to the next.
It keeps running around the clock
Once your project is set up, the work keeps moving. When a step can’t finish, it stops rather than guessing, and a specialist picks it up.
Built to be checked
The shape of it, without the machinery.
- Flaggedevery stuck step, raised to a specialist
- Resumesfrom the step that stopped, not from scratch
- Neverthe same email sent twice
- Everyrun kept as a funnel, even after a screen is cleared
- 24/7once your project is set up
Scout does the work, people keep watch, you approve

You

- Approve one quote a month
- Say yes or no to anything outside it
- Read the report, or reply with a question
Three weeks of reports for a medical SaaS brief
Healthcare and medical blogs, DR 50–70, with the US as one of their top traffic countries. Ten backlinks wanted.
Flip from day 1 to day 21 and watch the numbers move. Deals closed and backlinks live only rise when something real has happened.
Illustrative example, not real output or real sites.
Four backlinks found live on the page. Each one had an email of its own.
DAY 21: Four backlinks found live on the page. Each one had an email of its own.
Link building reports: common questions
What should a link building report include?
Activity, deals by stage and live backlinks, each counted from real data. Activity is emails sent, sites contacted and replies. Deals should be split into prices shared, in negotiation and closed. Live backlinks should be only those confirmed on the publisher’s page, pointing at your page with the agreed anchor. A report without that split is hard to check.
How often will I get a LabsMedia report?
Every day, for every site. You also get an email when a deal closes and when a backlink is found live, so you don’t have to wait for the daily report to hear about either. And you can reply to any report with a question, such as “how’s it going?”, and get the same numbers back.
When does LabsMedia count a deal as closed?
Only when the publisher’s invoice has arrived or the backlink is live. An agreed price is a promise, not a result, so it stays “in negotiation” until something real happens. We tested looser rules on real data and chose this one, because it keeps every closed deal real.
Do I need to log in to see my reports?
No. There is no dashboard and no login. Everything arrives by email: the daily report, an email for each closed deal and each live backlink, and answers to your questions. If you want to see a site before you pay, ask, and a backlink specialist will walk you through it.
What happens if a step stops working?
It stops rather than guessing. A stuck step is flagged and raised to a LabsMedia backlink specialist, who resumes it from where it stopped, so work that was already done is kept. Schedules come back after a restart and nothing is sent twice, which is why the work keeps running around the clock once your project is set up.
