3333% Increase in Organic Traffic for Supanote with Backlinks Creation

Project Overview

This was LabsMedia’s first project with a SaaS product in the mental healthcare space. Supanote was referred to us by an existing SaaS client, and they were in the early stages of growth, with a website consisting of just 34 pages.

The main request was to build backlinks to drive organic traffic. While we usually don’t recommend backlinking as a first step unless core website pages are in place, Supanote had already started gaining organic impressions and clicks. This presented an opportunity to amplify its brand visibility and traffic through strategic backlink creation.

Marketing Goal

The primary marketing goals for Supanote were to increase awareness of its AI-powered tool and emphasize its ability to save mental health professionals significant time by automating clinical documentation. 

They wanted to position themselves as a trusted solution for therapists, psychologists, coaches, and social workers, highlighting how seamlessly it fits into their daily workflows. Building trust and credibility was a priority, and they focused on showcasing their reliability, compliance, and dedication to simplifying life for professionals in the mental healthcare space.

Our Solutions

Considering that Supanote's domain was relatively new, we developed a targeted strategy for securing high-quality backlinks to boost its online visibility and drive organic traffic. 

This approach was designed to help strengthen their search engine rankings while building a solid foundation for long-term growth.

Our core solution: We created 16 backlinks within three months.

Our Approach: The strategy revolved around steadily increasing their online presence by obtaining backlinks from authoritative domains. This not only contributed to driving organic traffic but also played a key role in improving Supanote's search engine rankings.

Our plan prioritized backlinks to the homepage to reinforce brand mentions and to pages that were already receiving strong impressions. In addition, we also ensured natural mentions while focusing on key pages. Take a look at both the approaches.

To ensure that the backlinks were both effective and aligned with Supanote's brand goals, we curated a list of targeted anchor texts and identified the most relevant pages on the website for backlink creation.

Quality of backlinks:

The quality of the backlinks we created was a key component of this strategy. Here are some key metrics that highlight the strength of the domains from which we sourced the backlinks:

• Average Domain Rating (DR): 64, which exceeded our initial target range of 30-50. 
• Average domain traffic: 133,721 visits per month, showing that the websites from which we obtained backlinks had substantial traffic, ensuring that these links contributed to driving significant organic traffic.
• Average USA traffic on domains: 3,723 visits from the U.S., indicating that the backlinks targeted the right geographical market, crucial for Supanote’s primary audience of mental health professionals in the U.S.

In the end, out of 16, a total of 10 backlinks were created for the home page to strengthen its domain authority, while six backlinks were directed to the blog page to enhance content discoverability and drive targeted traffic.

Results We Achieved

Our strategic backlinking efforts led to significant improvements in Supanote’s online performance. Notably, we didn't publish any pages during this period, and neither made any major content changes on the website.

1. Overall traffic improved by 3333%, from 65 to 2232

This surge in traffic indicates stronger search visibility and a growing audience reach. By improving authority, we attracted more qualified visitors.

2. Domain rating rose from 3 to 16, strengthening site authority.

Higher domain authority improves trust with search engines, making it easier to rank for competitive keywords and sustain long-term growth.

3. Organic keyword positions improved from 4 to 48, enhancing search visibility.

Ranking for more keywords expands the website’s footprint in search results, driving consistent and diversified organic traffic.
