Attendees’ Questions and Rakesh’s Thoughts

Attendee question: “We get around 450 visitors from the US, primarily high-enterprise customers. However, with a 70% bounce rate, only about 75 visitors seriously engage with our website, and we see no conversions. Should we widen the net and attract more visitors, or is there a better approach?”

Rakesh’s answer: Instead of driving more traffic, focus on optimizing your existing traffic. He meant to say retaining and retargeting the existing traffic. He also recommended analyzing user behavior through heat maps and A/B testing landing pages.

Attendee question: “For a specific keyword we want to target, should we create multiple clusters, or will one cluster work?”

Rakesh’s answer: Each keyword should belong to only one cluster, and that cluster should contain all relevant keywords. He emphasized going beyond keywords and thinking in terms of entity clusters. Suppose two groups of people are discussing the same topic. Each group should have its unique set of keywords, and no keyword should be repeated across groups.”

Attendee question: “How do we structure our content so that it not only ranks well but also converts?”

Rakesh’s answer: Content should be categorized into clusters and silos, ensuring each piece of content aligns with the buyer’s journey. Product pages should focus on transactional keywords, while blog posts should target informational and navigational queries, guiding users toward conversion naturally.

Throughout the masterclass, Rakesh shared an important lesson: SEO isn’t as complicated as it seems. It’s really about learning the right frameworks and consistently applying them.

His session at SaaS Bhoomi was not only educational but insightful for every founder in the room. After this session, attendees kept engaging with him and shared their key issues regarding SEO and their practices.
